Rail Employees Suffer Head Injuries, Trashed For Objecting GRP Liquor Party on Badlapur platform

Mumbai,On 6th, Jan 2019 at about 10.15 in the night two Grp and a Pointsman beat up a Senior Section Engineer(SSE) and OHE maintainance staff on Badlapur platform and even inside the station master office. The two GRP caught hold of the SSE and OHE maintenance staff while the Points man reined heavy blows with his official signaling torch. The incident was captured in the CCTV cameras of Badlapur Railway Station.

“We had just loaded our equipments and were about to leave for the 10.16 local when we saw two GRP constable Rathod and Constable Kadam and a third civil dress man drinking alcohol on our seating area just outside the OHE Depot situated on platform 3 . The Senior Section Engineer Ram Saraskar objected and asked them to stop and leave” , “ it is becoming a daily routine leave right now” he said.

The Two GRP and points man attacked the OHE staff and the SSE for objecting to their liquor party just outside OHE office on the OHE bench. The SSE and two OHE staff are undergoing treatment for head injuries and injury to their hands. Amit Dilip Ruthe has got 3 stitches on his head and another wound on his head . Ram Saraskar the SSE has an Injury on his forehead above the eybrow, and other two khalasis have injury on their hands.

After we stopped their party one GRP went outside and the other two people one GRP in uniform and another civil dress guy was arguing with us , when we were standing to catch our local we saw a points man jumped from platform number 2 to the tracks and crossed the tracks and came running towards us on platform 3 and started shouting at us and hitus with his torch .The GRP caught hold of us while the points man hit us with the signaling torch saraskar sir’s  eye  and my  head got badly injured I have got 3 stiches and another wound on the side of the head.” Said a shaken Amit Dilip Ruthe one of the OHE staff, who are now undergoing treatment at the Kalyan Railway Hospital.  “We were hurled punches and were given bad words and were beaten up even inside the station master’s office.” said Prakash Pednekar and Vishal Kale the other two OHE Staff.  “We will definitely make a formal complaint to the police against this illegal act ” said Amit Ruthe.
