All Media Agencies to Allow their Reporters to Work from Home - Dilip Sapate.

Mantralaya Aani Vidhimandal Vartahar Sangh
President - Dilip Sapate
Praful Chavan.
Mumbai: Dt.23.04.20. The state’s  Doctors, Nurses, Police and the whole Government machinery are dealing  with the Corona problem very bravely and patiently. Along with them Journalists too are fulfilling their responsibilities while reporting on news issues about corona, the journalists are also creating greater public awareness in the process of reporting news.

But even while doing  this duty of theirs whatever problems the media workers are facing has come to our notice through some incidents .  A couple of days back when journalists on the field were tested for Covid19  Corona  test,  results of positive Journalists data was of great concern! Even in Thane district etc. the number of journalists found positive were many.  We as reporters and media persons have to do reporting  more carefully, we are now more than ever expected  to take care of our own safety and health and our family’s health too while fulfilling our responsibilities on the field.

Data related to tests on Mumbai’s journalists have also made us realize the same issue and concerns.

As the ‘Mantralay and Vidhi Mandal Vartahar Sangh’ President, I Dilip Sapate would like to urge the media agencies to allow the reporters to work from home whenever and where ever it is possible to do so. Safety equipments for them need to be provided promptly.

I would like to Thank  the state government and the Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for the tests that they conducted on the journalists. I would request the state government to kindly take proper care of those journalists found positive in their tests.

I am also requesting the rural area journalists working on the field to take necessary precautions and care while working on the field.
